What Is Health Coaching?
Your life stops the minute you hear that there is something wrong with your health. You are frozen. For anyone who has ever battled or is battling an illness, disease or any health issue, you know what I am talking about. You question yourself: “Did I do all I could to prevent this?” If you have followed a healthy living plan, then there is anger and bitterness that wants to squeeze in. If you have not, then guilt is your close companion. During this time managing your mental or physical heath can be a daunting task.Your doctor may be the world’s best but he or she cannot manage your wellness on a daily basis. Taking care of oneself requires knowledge, willpower and a healthy plan. What can a person do?
For many years this has been the process that a patient has had to endure without the daily guidance and support, but it is no longer the case. No one has to go through this alone. As a health coach, I have had the privilege of working with people for preventive care as well as navigating health crises. The coaching role is offering guidance and direction, allowing them to develop the skills in themselves.
As a Health coaches I work with clients to achieve their wellness goals. Whether it is preventive care, healthier nutrition, positive thinking or learning how to create a healthier and happier lifestyle, I will work with you to achieve your individual wellness goals. It is a win-win situation for all. The patient benefits from the support and guidance they get from the health coaching and the doctors benefit from happier and healthier patients who have managed wellness plans according to their individual needs.
I help to fill the gap in between doctors’ visits and work with doctors to help their patients achieve and maintain wellness. As a health Coach I am the missing link towards patient’s wellness.
